Following the explosive events of the first film, Adam Clay (Jason Statham), a retired operative of the top-secret shadow organization known as “The Beekeepers,” is now a high-profile fugitive. Living on the run after executing high-level corrupt figures, Clay remains committed to maintaining the societal balance.
However, Clay is pulled back into action when corrupt elements within the Beekeeper organization go rogue. The subverted group sets its sights on gaining absolute power by targeting the President of the United States, Jessica Danforth, aiming to seize control of the government. To protect the nation and preserve the original code of “the hive,” Clay must wage war against the very agency that created him.
Operating from the shadows, Clay faces off against a dangerous array of new adversaries, including elite assassins sent by his former organization and law enforcement agencies hunting him down. Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, the sequel escalates the action as Clay takes on heavily armed tactical units, ruthless rogue operatives, and institutional corruption to restore order before the government falls completely under rogue control.
