Man on Fire
Man on Fire is an action-thriller about redemption, vengeance, and the bond that forms between a broken man and a young girl. The story follows John Creasy, a former CIA operative and professional assassin haunted by years of violence and personal guilt. Emotionally exhausted and struggling with alcoholism, Creasy believes his life has lost all meaning.

His old friend Rayburn convinces him to take a bodyguard job in Mexico City, where kidnappings of wealthy families are becoming increasingly common. Creasy is hired to protect Lupita Ramos, known as “Pita,” the intelligent and energetic young daughter of wealthy businessman Samuel Ramos and his wife Lisa.

At first, Creasy remains emotionally distant and sees the assignment as just another job. However, Pita slowly breaks through his hardened exterior with her kindness, curiosity, and trust. She encourages him to reconnect with life, and over time a deep father-daughter bond develops between them. Through Pita’s friendship, Creasy begins to regain hope and a sense of purpose.

Their peaceful routine is shattered when Pita is kidnapped during an ambush. Creasy is seriously wounded while trying to protect her, and reports claim that Pita was killed shortly after the kidnapping. Devastated by guilt and rage, Creasy transforms into a relentless force of revenge.

Using his intelligence, combat skills, and experience, Creasy launches a brutal one-man war against everyone connected to the kidnapping. He kidnaps, interrogates, and kills corrupt police officers, gang members, and criminal intermediaries across Mexico City. His methods are violent and ruthless, earning him fear and attention from both law enforcement and the criminal underworld.

As Creasy digs deeper, he uncovers a larger conspiracy involving corruption, betrayal, and organized kidnapping networks operating within powerful institutions. He learns that Pita may still be alive and realizes the kidnapping plot is more complicated than it first appeared.

Driven by his love for Pita and desire for redemption, Creasy follows the trail to the people truly responsible. In the emotional climax, he agrees to exchange himself for Pita’s safe return. Though badly injured and exhausted, Creasy succeeds in rescuing her.

After ensuring Pita’s safety, Creasy dies from his wounds, finally finding peace through sacrifice. His final act transforms him from a man consumed by violence into someone redeemed by love and selflessness.
Man on Fire explores themes of redemption, corruption, revenge, and the healing power of human connection.
