Swapped
Swapped is a fantasy adventure animated film set in a magical valley inhabited by strange hybrid creatures that combine traits of animals and plants. At the center of the story is Ollie, a curious young creature called a Pookoo, who lives peacefully with his family on a small island. Although his community fears outsiders, Ollie dreams of exploring the world beyond his home.
From childhood, Ollie is fascinated by the creatures living across the valley, especially the bird-like Javans. One day, he accidentally helps a young Javan named Ivy discover the island’s food supply. This innocent act creates conflict between the species, as the Javans begin taking resources from the Pookoos. Over time, distrust and hostility grow between the two groups.
Years later, Ollie attempts to fix the damage he caused, but his plan goes terribly wrong. During an accident involving a mysterious magical pod, Ollie and Ivy suddenly swap bodies. Ollie becomes trapped in Ivy’s bird-like form, while Ivy transforms into a Pookoo. Forced into each other’s lives, the two enemies must work together to reverse the spell.
Their journey across the valley becomes a dangerous adventure filled with strange creatures, hidden locations, and ancient secrets. Along the way, they encounter giant predators, magical forests, and the legendary Dzo—mysterious tree-like beings connected to the valley’s forgotten history. As Ollie and Ivy travel together, they begin to understand each other’s struggles and realize that fear and misunderstanding have divided their species for generations.
The pair eventually uncover the truth about a terrifying figure known as the Firewolf, a destructive creature responsible for the valley’s ancient division. The Firewolf seeks to destroy the remaining magical pods and keep the species separated through fear and hatred. Ollie and Ivy realize that their body swap may be the key to restoring unity between the creatures of the valley.
As the Firewolf attacks the valley, Ollie and Ivy unite the different species to fight back together. In the climactic battle, Ollie embraces the lessons he learned from living in another creature’s form and uses the valley’s magic to stop the Firewolf and save everyone.
In the end, peace is restored, and the divided species finally begin working together again. Swapped is ultimately a story about empathy, friendship, and understanding life from another person’s perspective.
